She is both a leading junior and led junior in offences from Murder to multi-handed conspiracies for fraud and drugs.
Sophie is known for her approachable and empathetic dealings with lay clients and her tenacity and determination in the courtroom. Sophie’s advocacy is second to none and lands well with juries.
Recently she successfully defended a lady charged with perverting the course of justice, charged with making a false allegation of rape against a police officer.
Led by Peter Glenser KC successfully prosecuted a defendant for murdering a prostitute, the defendant was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia, the jury rejected a defence of diminished responsibility.
Led by William Hughes KC prosecuted 9 defendants for murder in Walsall high street, securing 7 convictions.
