Alyssa has published an article examining this case and dealing with the procedural process that must be followed and test that should now be applied by the court when a party seeks a direction under Family Procedure Rules 2010 r25.9(2).
On 3 June 2025, Mr Justice MacDonald handed down judgment in A Local Authority v X (Attendance of Experts) [2025] EWFC 137 in respect of a mother and father’s application pursuant to Family Procedure Rules 2010 r.25.9(2) for a direction that specific experts attend to give oral evidence on the grounds that it was necessary for them to do so in the interests of justice.
