We are delighted that 2025 has been another successful year of growth for St Ives Chambers, being recognised in the 2026 edition of the Legal 500 as the “ ‘go-to set’…firmly established within the Midlands”. We remain recognised as “an excellent chambers with many high quality advocates.”
Our rankings have been particularly pleasing with top tier rankings in family law (children and domestic violence) and social housing. We are also ranked as a leading set in family (divorce and financial remedy), crime, property and construction. Forty of our individual members were ranked and we are proud that our rankings cover the full spectrum of experience inclusive of silks, leading juniors and rising stars, demonstrating the wealth of talent throughout Chambers.
We remain recognised as the ‘go-to set’ for children matters, being “exceptionally well-placed to handle both complex private and public law proceedings”. Our “superb” family finance team is highlighted as being “an impressive set of excellent counsel.” The social housing team are noted as having “a breadth of talent…continuing to lead across the Midland Circuit”. Our criminal team are once again recognised for their leading juniors and rising stars. We are particularly proud that our “superb” clerking team continue to be recognised for their unsurpassed levels of client service.
Chambers has “experienced significant growth” following the opening of our premises in Nottingham, making us the only set of chambers on the Midland Circuit to offer a comprehensive service across the East and West of Circuit. We remain a modern multi-disciplinary set renowned for its exceptional mix of barristers at all levels of experience.
Our five exceptional pupils accepted tenancy and four more pupils commenced their training with us at the start of October. In recognition of the talent at St Ives, we were shortlisted for Family Set of the Year at the Legal 500 Bar Awards 2025.
