William has wide experience and expertise defending and prosecuting in offences of homicide, serious fraud, money laundering, organised crime, drug trafficking, serious and historical sexual offences, and related; Local Government.

William’s recent defence work includes successful defence in an Encrochat conspiracy, numerous high-profile murders, a diminished responsibility murder with a multiplicity of psychiatric evidence, allegations of historic sexual abuse and a notorious multi-defendant cut-throat murder with a background in organised crime. William’s other recent defence work includes the CCRC referred historic conviction to the Court of Appeal of one of those convicted of the killing of “the body in carpet” murder in South Wales in the late 80s (R v Ali). William has also recently acted for the defence in a number of gang related murders, as well as in complex VAT frauds. He successfully prosecuted 9 defendants in a multi-handed killing in Wolverhampton.
In the last few years William has prosecuted multi-defendant organised crime gangs in a large scale Class A drug conspiracy, as well as one of the most notorious murders of 2016, the murder of an escort by her multi-millionaire “sugar daddy”. William also prosecuted the first killing of a prison inmate by a cell mate resultant from the use of the synthetic drug, ‘spice’.
Among William’s other work includes the prosecution of an extensive organised criminal gang 25 million pound money laundering enterprise involving a number of alleged ‘bogus’ companies and their director, which was prosecuted over the last few years in a number of separate trials at Southwark Crown Court.
Additionally, William has extensive experience of professional disciplinary proceedings (representing all interested parties), inquests (for bereaved families and interested parties) and inquiries. William also undertakes pro-bono work advising and acting in relation to appeals to the Privy Council.
