Nina Bache

Nina Bache specialises in all areas of child law as follows:

Nina is a specialist Public Law Children practitioner.  In public law matters Nina is regularly instructed by parents, guardians, local authorities, other family members and interveners. She is known for her client-friendly approach and careful preparation. She is very experienced in care cases involving alleged inflicted injuries, abuse, chronic neglect, and clients with learning difficulties. She also has experience of cases involving cross-examination of children and has delivered seminars on Re W applications (children giving evidence). Nina has a particular interest in cases involving complex medical matters – head injuries, fractures, genetic conditions, poisoning. Her other particular interest lies with representing young persons.

In private law work Nina is regularly instructed by parents, grandparents and guardians acting for children. She has a sensitive and understanding approach to clients. She deals with difficult and complex child arrangements applications, including cases involving complex psychological evidence, intractable contact disputes, and applications for removal from the jurisdiction.

Recent successes for Nina on behalf of her private law clients include:-

• Successful in obtaining change of residence for father after coming on board following years of litigation.
• Successful in representing police officer in persuading the court that allegations of sexual abuse against him were false. Contact re-established after a significant gap.
• Successful in obtaining a costs order of £20k following successful outcome to fact finding hearing.
