Millie Jeavons

Millie accepts instructions in public law proceedings on behalf of local authorities, parents and children.

She also has a busy practice drafting important documents for local authorities, including thresholds, case summaries and phone record chronologies. She is able to consolidate large pieces of information into key parts of evidence in a time effective and persuasive way.

Millie has represented clients in a wide range of hearings and applications. Her approach to advocacy ensures a party’s position is presented in an effective and measured way.

She also has experience in conducting appeals, including drafting grounds of appeals and skeleton arguments.

Millie accepts instructions to represent clients in first direction appointments, financial dispute resolution appointments and final hearings.

She also has experience on advising and advocating for parties in complex proceedings where there are issues with compliance and disengagement. This includes the implications of terminal illness, international relocation and the breakdown of out of court agreements.

Millie defends and prosecutes matters in both the Crown and Magistrates Court. She is currently a member of CPS Level 1 panel.

Within the Crown Court she has developed a busy practice across all areas of crime.

Notable cases include.

R v WS [2026] –defended a client accused of ABH and intentional strangulation and secured an acquittal on both counts.

R v JC [2026]- successfully prosecuted a trial of issue for a defendant convicted of breaching a non-molestation order, resulting in the court placing the offence in the highest culpability and harm.

R v BO [2026] – secured a suspended sentence for a defendant convicted of ABH and criminal damage, prior to the change in sentencing law. In this circumstance the defendant avoided the operation of automatic deportation provisions.

In the magistrates’ court she has regular instructions from West Midlands Police in cash forfeiture proceedings. She also has experience in successfully making exceptional hardship applications.

Millie has also completed the “Advocacy for Children in Conflict with the Law” course and is confident in representing young defendants and children in criminal proceedings.

Millie accepts instructions in housing law aswell as business and property.

She has a busy practise representing social landlords in possession claims, injunction applications and disrepair.

Millie is also instructed in general civil applications and has recently been successful defending a civil trial on behalf of an insurer for an alleged breach of contract.
