Before starting pupillage in October 2025 Millie worked within a law centre alongside studying for the bar. During her time there she a was a member of a team specialising in obtaining immigration status and citizenship for vulnerable children in the UK.
As a student Millie consistently engaged with pro bono work. She completed an internship with a local advice centre where she supported citizens to appeal unfair benefit decisions and make HCF applications amidst the cost-of-living crisis. In addition, as a part of her master’s degree she assisted women with upcoming NMO hearings by preparing letters of advice and completing legal research. Millie also volunteered within a public law clinic, working on a project that closely analysed easements placed on the Care Act 2014 by the Coronavirus Act 2020 to identify lasting needs of care in adult social work.
