Kirstie accepts instructions on behalf of local authorities, parents and primary carers -, grandparents, guardians acting for children, separately represented young people and third-party intervenors. Kirstie has extensive experience of matters involving:
- Serious physical, psychological and/ or sexual harm
- Fabricated or induced illness, including ALTe’s and death
- Sexual abuse including interfamilial abuse
- Historic neglect
- Matters involving vulnerable clients
- Cross examination of sensitive witnesses, with or without the assistance of the Official Solicitor
Kirstie has experience of cases involving international elements including inter jurisdiction adoption orders. Kirstie has acted for and advised clients on claims arising under the Human Rights Act and for potential applications for Judicial Review. Kirstie is known for her thorough approach and dedication ensuring that her client’s case is put effectively.

Kirstie is able to advise on areas surrounding applications including transition to the court of protection and as to capacity assessments with a view to assisting the transition of young adults to the adult services and court of protection arena.
