Katherine Hannigan

Katherine commenced her pupillage with Chambers in October 2024 under the supervision of Louise Sapstead and Samuel Coe.

Prior to pupillage, Katherine worked as an Assistant Advocate at Browne Jacobson within the Barristers team, working on cases for a government regulator, prosecuting misconduct matters including serious offences against children. Within this role she also assisted local councils with anti-social behaviour possession hearings and approval hearings involving children and protected parties.

Previously, Katherine worked as a paralegal with the Family Law Group, dealing with private law matters and domestic violence protection orders. Additionally, she represented clients at in-chambers civil hearings as a County Court advocate for LPC Law.

Katherine has also worked in Medellín, Colombia, assisting with trial preparations for criminal and civil matters.

Katherine is currently undertaking her second six-month specialist family pupillage.
