Julie Slater is a Barrister  who has over 30 years of experience in family law. She specialises in Public Law Children. 

Julie practices in public law Children Act Applications. She is experienced in all aspects of proceedings in the County Court and High Court. She has been led in the High Court and Court of Appeal. 

Julie represents Local Authorities, Children’s Guardians, parents (including adults acting under a disability) and children. Her cases have involved serious non-accidental injury, shaken baby syndrome, death of children, sexual abuse and chronic neglect.

Julie is recognised for her sensible and grounded approach and relates well to clients of all backgrounds. Her strengths include representation of vulnerable clients.
