Charlie began his pupillage at Chambers in October 2025 under the supervision of Mark Cooper-Hall, Thomas Duggan, and Justine Lattimer.
Prior to pupillage, Charlie spent four months seconded to a financial services company monitoring a high-profile financial crime trial in London.
Charlie has over two years’ experience assisting solicitors and caseworkers in civil and criminal litigation for vulnerable clients. He worked as a housing paralegal at a law firm in London where his casework involved representing tenants and homeless clients in possession, disrepair, homelessness, and anti-social behaviour matters.
Previously, he supported prisoners in parole, discrimination, actions against public authorities, criminal appeals, and community care matters. He conducted advocacy before the Parole Board and wrote an article for inside time, the national newspaper for prisoners.
Before studying law, Charlie graduated with a First from Royal Birmingham Conservatoire as a classical trombonist playing in a variety of contexts including Symphony Hall for the CBSO Youth Orchestra.
