Bethany is personable in her approach and quick to gain her client’s trust and confidence. She is a well-prepared advocate and provides robust practical advice outside of court whilst also being able to present her client’s case confidently in court.
Bethany specialises in matters relating to children and accepts instructions in both public and private family matters.
In private law, Bethany has acted for both parents and 16.4 guardians, providing advice from FHDRA to final hearing. Bethany has also represented parents in multi-day fact finding hearings involving serious allegations of domestic abuse and abuse against children.
In public law, Bethany has experience acting for all parties. Bethany has represented parties during multi-day fact finding hearings where there are allegations of non-accidental injury and multi-day contested welfare final hearings.
Bethany has completed the Family Law Bar Association’s vulnerable witness training and has experience both representing and cross-examining vulnerable witnesses and parties.
Prior to joining Chambers, Bethany worked in the Court of Protection department at Shoosmiths LLP for two years and volunteered as a Childline Counsellor.
