After 40 years in practice, we are sorry to announce that Carol Binnon has decided to retire from the Bar.
Carol joined Chambers in 2010, having been called to the Bar after a successful 25-year career as a solicitor, concluding as a partner at a well-known local firm. As a solicitor, Carol had been a member of the Children Panel since its inception in 1984, representing children of all ages. Throughout her career, she specialised in care and adoption proceedings, representing parents, children, and local authorities.
During her time at the Bar, Carol has built a reputation as a dedicated and committed advocate. She is always noted for her child-focused approach to cases and was a hugely popular member of the profession and of chambers.
All members and staff at St Ives wish Carol the very best for her retirement. She will be greatly missed in Chambers.
