Alternative Dispute Resolution
Members of Chambers are committed to assisting their clients to find the most proportionate and cost-effective ways to resolve their disputes. Barristers have had to hone their skills to meet the growth of ADR in recent years and practitioners at St Ives Chambers are no exception.
Mediation is a popular method of dispute resolution in many of the fields in which we work. Members of Chambers can offer experience both as advocates in mediation and as mediators. The Clerks will be pleased to advise as to who is best suited to act in any particular case.
Other members are able to provide the skills and experience to act as arbitrators. Appointments have been made under institution schemes and by private arrangement. The Clerks are able to assist as to the expertise of particular barristers.
Chambers is well placed to offer facilities for the parties to meet for mediation sessions, settlement meetings or arbitration hearings. There are good sized rooms for such purposes and there is a wealth of technological and administrative support available as required.
Please direct your enquiries to the Clare Radburn, Civil Clerk, in the first instance.
