In the course of Matthew's practice he has represented clients at a wide range of hearings including First Directions Appointments, Financial Dispute Resolution (FDR) hearings, fully contested final hearings and interim maintenance applications. He has been instructed in cases featuring complex issues arising from pensions, business assets, and inheritance. Matthew has also completed written advice in the connection with ancillary relief claims.
In addition, Matthew has experience of contested divorce proceedings under the Matrimonial Causes Act.
Prior to commencing pupillage Matthew spent a number of months working in a family law mediation project in Accra, Ghana.
