Jason Pegg is a very experienced criminal barrister with a wide-ranging experience in all types of criminal work for both Defence and Prosecution. As a level 3 Crown Advocate Jason has extensive experience prosecuting serious and often complex criminal trials before the Crown Court and representing the Crown at the Court of Appeal.

Jason has developed a strong defence practice and established a following of local solicitors who recognise his ability to readily identify the real issues in a case and deal with sensitive issues effectively.  Jason gains the trust and respect of others through pragmatism, enthusiasm and a desire to consistently produce work of a high professional standard.

In addition to his expertise in criminal law he has a thorough practical knowledge of coronial law, military law, and the laws of armed conflict.

Jason accepts instructions prosecuting and defending in regulatory criminal proceedings. He has regularly acted in relation to Health & Safety Executive and Trading Standards cases and is able to represent clients at professional disciplinary tribunals.

Jason has an extensive and practical knowledge of coronial law and substantial knowledge of medical matters.

In addition, he has appeared on behalf of corporate entities, including Health Trusts, at inquests.
