Background:

Amy joined chambers in October 2016 after successfully completing a common law pupillage in Devon. During her pupillage, she gained vast amounts of experience in the Crown, Magistrates and Youth Courts, prosecuting and defending a range of cases. During her second six, she regularly appeared in the Crown Court dealing with sentencing hearings and breach proceedings.

Amy is regularly instructed by the CPS in a variety of matters including sensitive cases involving vulnerable witnesses. She is a level 1 prosecutor.

Amy has appeared on behalf of the prosecution and defence in cases of:

  • Domestic violence
  • Offences against the person
  • Motoring offences
  • Theft
  • Drug offences
  • Appeals from the Magistrates to the Crown Court

Amy is keen to expand her practice and accepts instructions in all criminal work. 

Further Information:

Amy was called to the Bar in 2012 and initially spent three years practising as a Solicitors’ Agent on the Midland Circuit and gained extensive advocacy experience before both District and Circuit Judges. She dealt with a mix of civil work from insolvency to mortgage repossessions.
